About Internet radio

Internet radio is an Internet service that distributes audio content.

To listen to an Internet radio broadcast on a PSP™ (PlayStation®Portable) system, you must first add an Internet radio player to the following storage media:


A user's development kit for creating an Internet radio player will be provided on our regional websites. The date the kit will be made available will be announced as soon as it has been decided.

Adding an Internet radio player

Select [Add the player to Memory Stick Duo™ media] from the "Adding an Internet radio player" page.

To add the Internet radio player to Memory Stick™ media, you must have the Memory Stick™ media inserted in your PSP™ system.

Follow the on-screen instructions to add the player.

After you have added the player, the player icon is displayed for Internet Radio (Internet Radio) under Network (Network).

Select [Yes] on the "Do you want to run the plugin embedded in this page?" message screen that is displayed when you select the icon. A connection to the Internet is established and audio content is received.

Hints

Information about the Internet radio player is saved in the following ways:

- For PSP-1000/2000/3000 series systems, the information is saved on Memory Stick™ media.

- For PSP-N1000 series systems, even if you select [Add the player to Memory Stick Duo™ media], the information is saved in the system storage. Internet radio players that are saved on Memory Stick™ media will not be recognized.
